Your next loaf will mean a whole lot more

“The Helga’s loaf campaign is a yearly event and we encourage everyone to jump on board and make a Helga’s purchase – or two – to help out Aussie farmers.”

Aussie Farmers will benefit from your next grocery shop in a different way throughout October and November.

IGA Marketplace and Helga’s are working together to raise money for farming communities through Drought Angels. This initiative is being led by the HG Retail Group.

Simply purchase a loaf of Helga’s bread between Wednesday 26 October and Wednesday 30 November from a participating IGA Marketplace and 10 cents from every loaf purchased will go back to support Drought Angels.

Drought Angels is very close to the heart of the IGA Marketplace business and to the owner, Brad Hopper and his family.

Through their company charity The Pop Foundation, Brad’s team provide vital support for operating costs including wages, equipment and supplies as well as support for fundraising events such as the Rural Day Out.

“As well as supporting Drought Angels through the Marketplace Member program in-store, the Helga’s loaf initiative is another opportunity for our business to give back to our farmers where we can.

“The Helga’s loaf campaign is a yearly event, and we encourage everyone to jump on board and make a Helga’s purchase – or two – to help out Aussie farmers. But IGA Marketplace’s support for Drought Angels doesn’t end there.

“We do have more plans to support Drought Angels through a selection of products across our stores so watch this space.”

Through the support of people like you adding Helga’s to your weekly shop, we can provide direct and timely financial assistance, essential resources, a listening ear, and meaningful relief for primary producers across Australia impacted by drought and natural disasters including floods, fires, drought, and plagues.

Did you know? IGA Marketplace was the first Founding Partner to join Drought Angels. Together with their charitable foundation, The Pop Foundation, they provide a vehicle for farm visits and financial support. As a retailer of high-quality food products, IGA Marketplace has a natural alignment with our vision of keeping farmers on their land to ensure a sustainable and preserved Australian agricultural industry.
