Farmers will be supported more than ever

“Your generosity is making a difference in the lives of hard-working Aussie farmers. For this, we cannot thank you enough.”

Thanks to the incredible support of people like you, more than $328,000 has been given to flood-affected Producers and communities needing financial assistance since the 2022 floods.

You’ve helped give a farmer in need the life-changing gift of financial aid.

You’ve ensured a distressed farmer can feel a sense of relief as an Angel on the Road knocks on their door to have a cuppa and lend a listening ear.

You’ve enabled a family who lost everything in the floods to open a food hamper filled with essential groceries.

Running up to 30 June, we asked you to dig deep and support our farmers – like Peter – who were doing it tough.

More than tough. They’ve had their farms, homes and their lives turned upside down by the devastating Queensland and New South Wales floods earlier this year.

But both the community and corporate support we received this year were so generous, giving these farmers hope for a brighter future.

Both Mitre 10 and Home Hardware made significant contributions during the appeal and, for a few days, each individual donation was matched by these two companies to support the work of Drought Angels.

Our CEO Tash Johnston said, “we have been blown away by the support we have received from our loyal supporters and our incredibly generous matching partners Mitre 10 and Home Hardware.”

“Your generosity is making a difference in the lives of hard-working Aussie farmers. For this, we cannot thank you enough.”

Thanks to you, here is some of what Drought Angels have been able to give back to flood-affected farmers from the 30 June appeal:

  • 54 Care Packs, totalling $10,950
  • 9 pairs of Work Boots, totalling $1,168

  • Warehouse Products, totalling $117,560
  • Mastercards totalling, $158,750

So thank you to you and everyone who supported this year’s Drought Angels Tax Appeal. You are helping improve the lives of farmers doing it really tough.
