Paige’s quest to end her love drought

This season of Farmer Wants A Wife sees Paige from Cassilis, NSW, a first-generation sheep and cattle farmer looking for love.

Her close friend Lou Green, is our very own Farmer Support and Angel on The Phone Coordinator, and the entire team at Drought Angels could not be more excited to witness Paige’s journey towards love whilst hoping that her appearance may also help in balancing gender perceptions about the farming profession.

“We work with and support many female farmers throughout Australia but there still seems to be the common notion that it is a ‘man’s occupation’” Lou explains, “I can understand this due to the nature of the work but female farmers like Paige are gutsy and strong. I cannot wait for the rest of the population to get to know Paige like I do and broaden perceptions of the agriculture industry”

With so many of our farmers having experienced heavy devastation with the flooding and other disasters, including years of drought and fires, supporting those in our ‘backyard’ has never been more important.

As you watch Paige’s quest to break her love drought, please think about lending your support to Aussie farmers doing it tough right now.

Dan and Callie’s story

Dan and Callie are Cattle & Crop Producers in the Western Downs area of QLD. This beautiful family, with 3 young children, are like many throughout Australia who have been severely affected by the prolonged and unprecedented drought.

Their farming income was well and truly depleting with no help from record low rainfall over multiple years. Costs exceeded any income that could be made, due to multiple failed crops and selling what stock they had to.

With huge input costs to get the crop in the ground and the enormous outputs living week to week, even day to day became a near impossible feat.

Thanks to our generous supporters, Drought Angels have been able to provide ongoing relief to this family including financial, well being and product assistance which was personally delivered by our Angels On The Road and Angels On The Phone.

Their future is looking bright.

A desire to assist Aussie farming families is something many of us share.
Donating once, or once a month, is a simple way to say THANK YOU to Aussie farmers.
